Recession

According to wikipedia, recession is "contraction, a general slowdown in economic activity. During recessions, many macroeconomic indicators vary in a similar way. Production, as measured by gross domestic product (GDP), employment, investment spending, capacity utilization, household incomes, business profits, and inflation all fall, while bankruptcies and the unemployment rate rise."

Plain and simple: all the good stuff falls while the bad stuff rises.

If I apply that definition to normal life

That has been me (and consequently my blog activity)
over the last week.

A contraction,
A general slowdown in activity,
A fall in production
and
in capacity utilization

and

A raise in my ability
to pay back

to give
attention
to my blog
and
to other areas
of
my life.....

Huh, MY LIFE....

Not sure what that means
anymore.

This Wednesday I will turn 34
and
I still have the sense
of
being a boat
(just a slighter bigger boat than 10 years ago)
that gets hit
by a sudden rogue wave
wiping out its maneuver
power.

I guess

just like the ocean
life has
large and spontaneous waves
that hit
and can feel and be threatening to boats.

This week
I experienced
that
 just like sailors do
 when a rogue wave hits,
it's best to head into it at an angle
that moves into the same direction
so that you can

RIDE THE WAVE
